The LESSON:
Part 1: Students will read Ch. 2 of Chasing Lincoln’s Killer pgs. 9-31. Using the differentiation strategy of Annotating or note taking use Ch. 2, from Chasing Lincoln’s Killer.
Part 2: As a class we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using different mediums [print, media, text, videos, etc.] Inform students you are completing the Noticing & Thinking graphic organizer for Analysis/Claim.
Closing Strategy: ANALYZE. What are the similarities and differences in using Close Reading Strategies for Chasing Lincoln’s Killer vs The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens? [Be sure to respond to this question using the RACE strategy.
