2. DISTRIBUTE the Why Care? Student Handout and read the story about Kevin and Jose. GUIDE students to use drawing paper and markers to create a map showing all the players in this event (bully/bullies, target, bystanders)

3. Read about Bystanders. Have students complete the ‘Why Care? Student Handout.”

Activator: Review Stacey’s Story using the Dial It Down Student Handout. Ask students to map out how Online Cruelty escalated in “Stacey’s Story.”

Lesson Activities:
1. Arrange students in pairs. Have students review the left hand column of the handout for Stacey’s Story to show how the situation escalated. Collaboratively, the pair should complete the Turn Down the Dial on Cyberbullying version of Stacey’s Story on the right hand side of the handout.

2. Students will individually complete the Turn Down the Dial on Cyberbullying [3 question] assessment on the back hand side of the document.

3. After students have a few minutes to complete the handout individually, for 2-3 minutes only discuss their answers with a partner.  This will allow them "teach" each other and to make their answers better.
