What is the definition of author’s tone?
a. the literal or primary meaning of a word, in contrast to the feelings or ideas that the word suggests.
b. is the atmosphere of the story; the feeling it gives you
c. an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning.
d. indicates the writer's attitude. Often an author's tone is described by adjectives, such as: cynical, depressed, sympathetic, cheerful, outraged, positive, angry, sarcastic, prayerful, ironic, solemn, vindictive, intense, excited.
